Fear was probably my biggest obstacle in starting any fitness regime. It had been such a long time since I had done any form of exercise that I was afraid I would not be able to keep up in classes. I was also holding back on seeing a trainer as I was ashamed of how unfit I had allowed myself to become – I didn’t want to be judged.
The hardest part was making that first appointment. At no point did Michelle ever make me feel uncomfortable or embarrassed – she was nothing but encouraging and positive. She allowed me to work at my own pace and before I knew it my fitness had improved dramatically and I had no trouble keeping up in classes.
